Will it be for the better or worse? Are we talking a GML $25k summing box or a Terbo Crumpus $0.25 summing box? And gee, am I going to like the distortion/changes/phase shifting or whatever of my new pile of magic boxes better than I like the simple sample are converter plug? Depends on my mindset. Running out to some box and back in at a higher sample rate is going to change the samples. A simple sample rate converter plug (and there are several affordable ones) will do the least damage to the samples. If it is your sum, are you gonna be using an outboard summing box or just printing your two track from your DAW on another machine?Įven if you are summing in the box I would just print in the daw/bounce and convert via an SRC.ĭepends upon what you want.
